The DWA Research Institute unit of the SkillsNET Foundation (501 (c) (3) non-profit) organization is focused on providing innovative semantic web products to support public/private services in the economic development, labor market intelligence, credentialing, and talent pipeline management.

The DWA Research Institute is dedicated to advancing public workforce development systems and education alignment to labor markets. The 2011-2012 research agenda is to provide employers with a standardized skills matching engine using common language metrics. The skills matching engine can be used for internal succession planning, alignment of training to job requirements and talent acquisition.
